She found it difficult to find work that fitted with her family responsibilties and realised that many professionals were in the same situation so created Flexiworkforce to help. It has become clear that working in this way can have many physical and mental health benefits for staff and adavantages for the employer as well.
Hear what those advantages are here on the Relaxback UK show.
Kate Carpenter looks after her orchard of around 250 fruit trees and works on a large vegetable plot. She has had to develop labour saving ways of doing this and she shares them with us here. She makes fantastic cider - and lots of it! Next year she intends to run cider making workshops to let us all in on the secrets of her success.
