Giving up smoking is very hard and the Stoptober campaign is designed to give some help to those who really want to kick the habit. Lloyds Pharmacy are getting very involved in the campaign and have some free advice and free smoking cessation courses available. one of their pharmacists gives information about this and other smoking advice here.
Osteopath, Robert Shanks, of Spine+ talks about a relatively new therapy for those suffering from back pain and also sciatica - it is intervertebral disc decompression or IDD for short. It has helped a lot of people although might not be appropriate for everyone as he explains. He also explains what an osteopath does and also discusses the difference between a physiotherapist and an osteopath and he is well place to know as his mum is a physio! Hear him here.
